We have recently acquired the refrigerated assets of Perth-based operation, DCG (Damien Cole Group) as the next phase of our expansion across Australian capital cities.
DCG, which has been in operation for nearly 60 years from Perth, has been a leader in its space, supplying all forms of refrigerated vehicles – from vans through to 14 pallet trucks.
Like Eurocold, DCG is a dedicated refrigerated rental business that holds the same values across service to customers that ensures safe delivery of high quality refrigerated trucking units.
2023 saw our business expand from Brisbane to Western Sydney with our first external depot.
We have been providing trucks to the Victorian market since October with experienced transport operator, Kevin Duong joining our team to head up the Melbourne-based operation.
In the coming months, a depot will launch in Laverton North – some 18 kilometres from Melbourne city – to provide rentals, sales & repairs to our customers.
Last week, we proudly announced that the global leader in the refrigerated rental arena, Petit Forestier Group, has taken a majority shareholding in the company.
This coincides with us being on the verge of taking the keys to our new 8,677sqm production facility in the City of Logan, representing a 620% floorspace increase over our current headquarters.
The Western Australian operation will continue to draw on the experience of the DCG team in the market while adding to its resources through Eurocold’s systems and those that will come into the business over time from the Petit Forestier Group.
Our CEO Avraam Solomon explains, “Perth is the next place for Eurocold to expand its footprint. It has been a process with Damien Cole and his team to come to this point where we acquire the refrigerated transport part of DCG. Damien will retain the other areas of his broad transport business.
“Eurocold is excited by the opportunities that exist with the DCG team that the market has become so familiar with and the additional opportunities that this brings for our business nationally.
“Our head office and additional state depots will allow DCG to streamline administrative, technology and product supply processes.
“We would like to build on providing our larger trucks to service the broader state in Western Australia.
“In Victoria, we’ve been warmly accepted since launching there last year with Kevin having a number of trucks in the market. As we head towards opening the new depot in Laverton North, Eurocold’s coverage is across South East Queensland into Northern New South Wales, down through Newcastle and Sydney to Canberra, now Victoria and Western Australia all being able to access Eurocold refrigerated truck rentals.
“Through our announcement last week regarding the investment of Petit Forestier Group – and being in the process of heading to our new headquarters in the City of Logan – it is an incredible time of growth for Eurocold – with more well and truly in the pipeline.”
